Hip Hop Graphic Tees: FAQ
Gear, the room, and the running jokes. The drum machine designs cover 808s and MPC pads. The DJ designs cover turntables, vinyl and scratching. The booth designs cover the condenser mic and the moment a take starts rolling. The type-led pieces carry studio phrases like "Fix It In The Mix", "One More Take" and "Trust The Process", which read as jokes outside a studio and as plain description inside one. Every design here is an original Ghostnote illustration or lockup, not a licensed logo.
It depends what you want the tee to do. A wide, high-contrast print reads from across a room, so it works on stage, on camera and in a crowd. A small upper-chest icon reads at conversation distance only, which makes it the easier daily option and the one that layers cleanly under a flannel or a hoodie. If you are buying one tee to cover both situations, the small icon is the safer pick.
Turn the tee inside out, wash cold on a gentle cycle, and air dry it instead of tumbling. Heat is what breaks a print down fastest, so skip the dryer and do not iron directly on the graphic. Our guide on how to wash graphic hip hop tees walks through it step by step.
Every tee on this page runs S to 2XL, and a few styles go wider. Sizes are chosen on the product page, and measurements for each size are on the Ghostnote tee size chart. If you want the oversized silhouette that most of these graphics are drawn for, size up once.

Every tee on this page earns its place on the print. No logo tees, no blanks. Each one carries an original Ghostnote drawing or type lockup built around something specific from inside the music.
What the graphics reference
The drum machine shows up most. An 808 wordmark with a heartbeat line running through it, MPC pads stacked under bold lettering, a beatmaker hunched over the hardware. The DJ set covers a turntable shot top down, hands cutting and scratching, a turntablist working the wax. The booth has its own line, with an MC at the condenser mic and a hand raised mid verse. Then there are the in-jokes that only land if you have lived them: an EQ curve above "Fix It In The Mix", console faders under "Trust The Process", "One More Take", and "Off The Grid" for anyone who refuses to quantize.
Statement print or quiet signal
The two do different jobs. A wide, high-contrast graphic like "They Not Like Us" or the yellow West Coast lockup reads from across a room, which is what you want on stage, on camera, or in a crowd. A compact upper-chest icon, the boombox or the turntable or the studio mic, is the quiet version. It layers cleanly under an open flannel or a hoodie and only registers with people who already know what they are looking at. Shooting content, go wide. Wearing it every day without announcing anything, go small.
